Charlotte G. Bryson, M.A.
Charlotte G. Bryson, M.A., has been Executive
Director of Tennessee Voices for Children since December 1995. She
received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with High Honors
from North Texas State University. She earned her Master of Arts in
Psychology with High Honors at the University of Houston. She was Director
of Child & Adolescent Services at the
Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities
for nearly ten years prior to accepting her position with TVC. Ms. Bryson
has more than 30 years of experience in the mental health field, primarily
in the development of comprehensive systems of care for children with
serious emotional disorders and their families. She is a Tennessee senior
licensed Psychological Examiner. Her current projects at TVC include
expansion of the Family Support Network for families and children; research
projects studying the impact of managed care on children and families;
consultation in child care programs; community education programs; advocacy
and conferences. Ms. Bryson is an active participant with the following:
Mental Health Association of Tennessee Board of Directors, Tennessee
Statewide Mental Health Planning Council, The Tennessee Coalition for
Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, The Governor’s Office
of Children’s Care Coordination Steering Panel, and Roundtable
on TennCare Partners Program and the TN Adolescent Coordination of Treatment.
