Family Support Provider Supervisor – Columbia TN:
Master’s Degree in mental health, social work, or other related field; minimum two years supervisory experience; preference given to candidate who is a parent/caregiver or family member of child with SED. Knowledge of children’s developmental and social needs; mental, emotional, behavioral needs and disorders. Knowledge and experience with child-serving agencies; experience with strength-based interventions; ability to work independently and as a team member. Good communication, organizational, creative thinking and problem-solving skills are needed.
Statewide Family Support Network Coordinator
Educational and experience requirements:
- Master’s in Social Work, Psychology, Education, or related field with experience working with mental health, disabilities, or special populations
- At least 3 years of experience in working with parents of children/youth, volunteers, state and local agencies, and task forces or other community groups and in parent training, consultation and support
- At least 3 years experience in a supervisory role
- Experience in networking with other agencies, organizations, and coalitions.
- At least 3 years supervisory experience.
Responsibilities:
- Implementation of Statewide Family Support Network program including providing information and referral, advocacy and support to families of children with emotional and behavioral problems, and community education.
- Supervision of Outreach Specialists across the state to include monitoring of documentation, providing training and consultation to Outreach staff, and providing direct support to staff in the 3 grand regions of the state.
- Coordination of Parent-2-Parent and other trainings across the state that do not relate to other specific grants
- Coordination to ensure that TVC and relevant information for parents are represented at various conferences, health and information fairs across the state via booth displays, trainings, workshops, etc.
- Development of Family Support Groups across the state. Duties include active recruitment of parent and professional co-facilitators, training of co-facilitators, assisting co-facilitators with advertising of group, review of all group reimbursement forms, providing on-going consultation and technical assistance to assigned groups and co-facilitators.
- Attend IEP team meetings, Child and Family Team meetings, or other team meetings on a case-by-case basis to support parents and facilitate cooperation between professionals and parents with parents as equal partners in the decision making process regarding their child.
- Actively advocate for best practice and system of care principles for children and families in a variety of settings (i.e. mental health planning councils, coalitions, court, and school meetings)
- Encourage and support the coordination of services for children with SED and their families, i.e. provide role model of system of care principles, arranging child and family team meetings with all child serving agencies involved participating.
- Facilitate annual Children’s Mental Health Week event in Middle TN as well as support events in West and East TN regions.
- Maintain a caseload of clients on an as needed basis as well as performing supervisory duties.

Behavioral Specialist -- Family Connection program
Qualifications: Master’s Degree in mental health, social work, or other related field, licensure preferred; preference given to candidate who is a parent/caregiver or family member of child with SED.
Skills and Knowledge Required: knowledge of developmental and social needs of children; knowledge of children’s mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders; knowledge and experience with the juvenile justice system, educational system, and child-serving agencies; experience with strength-based interventions; experience in developing behavioral plans and in skill building with families; commitment to system of care principles; ability to work independently and as a team member, organizational and communication skills; creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide in home and in school behavioral supports to caregivers and educational staff working with the child(ren)
- Provide formal parenting skills training to caregivers
- Participate in Child and Family Team meetings and report on progress/needs in the behavioral domain of the agenda/service plan
- Provide intensive, in home therapeutic skill building with child and entire family (individual and family)
- Available by cell phone 24/7 for behavioral crises
- Completion of Strengths-Based Assessment with the Family Support Provider
- Work with the Family Support Provider to identify immediate service gaps
- Develop safety plan with family and enter plan into the database; copies to Family Support Provider, family, and referral person (if requested)
- Ensure that Family Support Provider is updated on behavioral progress (child and family); provide written updates to Family Support Provider for inclusion in any reports requested by the contractor
- Collaborate with the Family Support Provider on the discharge plan for the family
- Conduct follow-up interviews with family at the following intervals after discharge: 1 month, 3 months, and 6 months
- Provision of booster sessions with family at any of these follow-ups if necessary
- Other duties and/or tasks as assigned
Behavioral Specialist - Family Connection Shelby County (Memphis):
Qualifications: Experience
with children's mental health issues. Master's degree preferred in
social work, psychology or related field or Bachelor’s degree
with three or more yrs experience. Duties include: home- and community-based
skill-building with families of children with severe emotional disturbance
in the areas of anger mgt, conflict resolution, relationship building,
etc.; addressing educational issues to foster academic and behavioral
success at school; participating in Child and Family teams; connecting
