Columbia
University has perfected a reliable, easy, voluntary and confidential
computer screening program for depression, suicide risk, and other mental
disorders that pose a serious threat to health, well-being, and academic
success.
It is used across the country and recognized in the report by the President’s
New Freedom Commission on Mental Health as a model program for EARLY
IDENTIFICATION of MENTAL ILLNESS.
TeenScreen is FREE to qualifying communities, schools, agencies, and
other service providers.
TeenScreen's goal is to find youth who are at risk for depression and/or
other mental health issues before they fall behind in school, end
up in trouble, or end their lives.
Tennessee Voices for Children can assist you in implementing a TeenScreen
Program in your community.
