TVC Volunteer Opportunities



Middle Tennessee

PURPOSE: General clerical work supporting Administrative staff, Executive Director, Assistant Director, and all staff.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in agency mail outs
Compile information packets
Reproduce Fact Sheets
File documents
Organize inventory
Assist in Data Entry
Answer Phones
Send and Receive Faxes
Assist in General Office Maintenance
Compose, send, and receive E-Mails
Produce copies

QUALIFICATIONS: Office experience, Multi-line phone experience, data entry experience. Computer skills, software experience such as Word, Access, Excel, etc. Filing experience is a plus. Must be able to work as a team and independently.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: On the job training will be conducted to enable the volunteer to perform the above assigned duties.

TIME AND PLACE: Nashville TVC Office. Shifts may occur any day Monday thru Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

COMMITMENT: Depending on time of year and projects to do, could be any number of hours.

Middle Tennessee

PURPOSE:
Providing assistance with clinical interviews with youth that have completed the screening.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct clinical interviews
  • Assist program and site coordinator with screening tasks
QUALIFICATIONS:
Enrolled in a Master’s level program or Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field. Experience working with youth is a plus.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: 
A 90 minute training will be provided before the volunteer begins working at the screenings. Additional on the job training will be provided as needed.
TIME AND PLACE:
Middle and High schools throughout the Middle Tennessee Region. Shifts typically occur Tuesday through Thursday during school hours.
COMMITMENT:
Depending on the time of the year and the site, the hours can range from 3-8 hours per screening.

Middle Tennessee

PURPOSE:
Providing assistance with debriefing interviews with youth that have completed the screening.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Obtain assent from the participants before screenings
  • Conduct debriefing interviews
  • Assist program and site coordinator with screening tasks
QUALIFICATIONS:
Enrolled in a Bachelor’s level program or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field. Experience working with youth is a plus.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: 
 A one-hour training will be provided before the volunteer begins working at the screenings. Additional on the job training will be provided as needed.
TIME AND PLACE:
