The 2015 State of the Child Conference is a professional conference attended by more than 200 health and mental health professionals, managed care organizations, policy makers, education professionals, and individuals and families who experience mental health challenges. This year, the conference will be a one-day event focusing on early childhood. Featured topics will include child abuse, sexual abuse, early childhood trauma, and domestic violence.
A keynote presentation will be provided by former NFL player and life coach Freddie Scott, who focuses on engaging parents on family issues like the male role model. The conference will also feature speaker Matthew A. Timm, Ph.D., who has extensive experience in early childhood intervention.
